EUROPLASMA, member of UrbAquitaine, won two technological successes this summer, delivered a vitrification unit in China, then delivered a plasma furnace in Bulgaria
2 technological successes for Europlasma this Summer :
Firstly, with the delivery of the fly ash vitrification unit of Houjie incinerator (China) in July. This high temperature process, under Europlasma control for several years, will allow to melt and to make inert 35t/day of toxic ashes from Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) incineration.
Secondly, with the plasma furnace dedicated to the treatment of low-level radioactive waste (LLW), into the Kozloduy nuclear power plant in Bulgaria in August. This process drastically reduces the volume of waste, up to 80 times in certain cases, and definitely eliminates the risk of leaching once the treated material is stored.

Sunna Design and its partner Solektra International launched the world’s first assembly line of All-in-one solar streetlights in Africa on January 13th in Bamako. Thanks to a Research and development project financed by the Aquitaine region, Sunna Design has designed an ergonomic, fully connected and energy-saving assembly unit able to produce up to 30,000 solar streetlights per year. This new concept of factory, awarded by the label “Vitrine usine du future” enabled skills transfer to Solekra teams. Sunna’s partner is now able to make highly efficient All-in-one solar streetlight with the best heat resistant on the market. This project enhances Sunna Design and Solektra will to provide high quality and made locally streetlight products for Africa.
The COP 22 under Fonroche solar spotlights
Fonroche lighting has been awarded a prestigious contract to light up the COP 22 held in Marrakech. Yassine Kerroumi head of international sales stated this morning: “Lighting up the COP 22 with solar street lights means that solar energy have already scored high against conventional electricity before even the Conference starts” Fonroche reported a phenomenal growth in their solar street lighting division driven by contracts in France, Africa, and America. Acknowledging this growth, The Prime Minister Manuel Valls visited the Fonroche factory on the 6th of October.

A major step forward for Fonroche solar lighting in Morocco Fonroche is proud to announce that it has been awarded a contract by Masen (Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy) for the supply of hundreds of solar street lights to the “Noor” station located in Ouarzazate (South of Morocco). Noor is amongst the largest solar power plants in the world. Due to the nature of this project, and the client’s high level of technical expertise, Fonroche is extremely proud to be selected as Masen’s solar lighting partner. Thanks to a unique and innovative technology, Fonroche Street Lighting division has achieved a rapid international growth in 2015. The company is currently interviewing for various international sales roles to establish a worldwide presence.
